I’ve loved this song for a while, the stadium cheer and whistle that kicks off the song, the amazing trumpet beat, the gothic vibe and ease it gives off // in short i love this song. and now i love the video that accompanies it.
Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem wrote up a very interesting, frustrated, and honest blog post last night. The topics in his post range from how people should not expect to hear covers of great artists like Bruce Springsteen when they go to a Gaslight show, how they individual people - not just dolls to want to play with, and how they will be disappearing from the press world until their new album is released. Read the full blog below after the jump.
In love with this video for so many reasons.. the song itself is absolutely gorgeous, the creative direction of it is superb, the flow of it is the effortless kind that you don’t think about (which is how you want things to flow), and and .. THE EMPIRE STATE!!! just gives me shivers watching them playing with the sun breaking through the buildings, and Karen O dancing and jumping with a sheer joy smile on her face .. just amazing video! I love it!!!!
A foal is an equine, particularly a horse, that is one year old or younger. More specific terms are colt for a male foal and filly for a female foal. Foals on the other hand are an English indie rock band from Oxford, England. They just released their third album Holy Fire on 11 February 2013, and I keep going over it again and again. They’re also darn good live!
I’m music-sessed with this band right now, and I crave more MORE .. here’s the spiel and two tunes that are on major repeat right now inside brain ..

Song Hey Now. This is their first single, and it is infec-tu-ouso.
Song Wasting My Young Years. Now this song, is where the obsession kicks in. It is absolute perfection, from lyrics to vocals, to presentation. The video is amazing!!! It was shot on 35mm film, using a ‘homemade’ camera rig consisting of 625 individual pinhole cameras that are exposed at the same time. If like me, you want to know “how did they DO that” see the behind the scenes film here: vimeo.com/66229810
